Volunteer with DEPO
Volunteering with DEPO is a meaningful way to help communities build resilience and better prepare for natural disasters.
Examples of volunteer opportunities may include:
- Participating in community education and outreach programs that promote disaster preparedness and risk reduction.
- Assisting with disaster risk assessments and vulnerability assessments in communities.
- Helping to develop emergency response plans and evacuation plans for schools and other community organizations.
- Providing training on emergency preparedness and response to community members and organizations.
- Helping to organize and participate in disaster drills and exercises to test and improve emergency plans.
- Assisting with the distribution of emergency supplies and resources in the event of a disaster.
- Participating in disaster response and recovery efforts.
Volunteer roles will vary depending on DEPO's current projects and priorities, as well as the skills and experience of each volunteer. Some positions may have additional requirements, such as langage proficiency or prior training.
