Young learners from Mitra School, Chakupat, Lalitpur, recently embarked on an exciting educational visit to the Mitra Disaster Risk Reduction Learning Center (MDRRLC). Accompanied by their DRR Educational Focal Teacher, Mrs. Laxmi Amatya, the junior school children engaged in fun, interactive games designed to teach essential disaster preparedness skills.

At the learning center, students discovered practical ways to stay safe and assist their families during emergencies. Through hands-on activities led by MDRRLC staff, the children learned about earthquake drills, emergency kits, and simple yet life-saving response techniques—all while having a great time!

This visit not only made disaster education engaging and memorable but also empowered the young participants to become safety ambassadors in their homes and communities. A big thank you to MDRRLC for hosting this impactful session and to Mrs. Amatya for her dedication to student safety!
