On June 8, Bhassara School in Ward 19 of Lalitpur successfully organized a comprehensive community-based disaster risk reduction (DRR) event. This significant gathering attracted over 200 community members, including children, mother groups, and youth clubs, all participating in more than 10 different activities focused on enhancing disaster preparedness.

The event featured demonstrations by DRR education club members of Bhassara School, who, alongside involved parents, showcased a range of practical DRR activities. These demonstrations provided valuable insights into disaster preparedness, aiming to equip the community with the necessary skills and knowledge to handle potential disasters effectively.

The program was inaugurated by the Deputy Mayor of Lalitpur Metropolitan City and the Ward Chairperson, whose attendance underscored the importance of community involvement in disaster risk reduction. The event also welcomed delegates from JICA, Plus Arts, and other stakeholders, who played a crucial role in the event's success.

This community event highlighted the vital role of collective action in building resilient communities. The collaborative efforts and enthusiastic participation demonstrated the community's commitment to disaster preparedness and resilience.
